New Berlin's Olson signs with Loyola-Chicago

New Berlin - New Berlin United senior Nick Olson recently signed a National Letter of Intent to continue playing men's volleyball at Division 1 Loyola University-Chicago in fall 2012.

Olson, one of the nation's top recruits, was recruited by other D1 schools such as UCLA, USC, Ohio State, Pepperdine, UC-Santa Barbara, Stanford, BYU, Hawaii and Penn State.

His club and high school highlights included first-team All-State, first-team All-Woodland Conference and a USA High Performance Gold Medalist in 2011.

He was a second-team All-Woodland Conference and a USA Junior Olympic National Champion in 2010. He was a WIAA State Champion in 2009 and a second-team All-Woodland Conference selection in 2009. He was honorable mention All-Woodland Conference in 2008.
